NO HOF for Me Again!
Purdue Football All Big Ten defensive back Bill Kay (1977-1980) was not selected into the Purdue Intercollegiate Athletics Hall of Fame again this season. It’s time to ask why a player still in the record books as one of Purdue’s All Time Defensive Backs is not in the HOF.
As noted in the 2016 Purdue Media Guide Bill Kay is still near the top of every defensive back category. Including being tied for #1 in 2 of the categories. These records are now 36 years old! Kay was a 4 year Varsity Letterman, Sports Illustrated Player of the week, All Big 10 (1980), Honorable Mention All-Big Ten (1979) and played in the NFL for 4 seasons. Bill played Cornerback while establishing these records!
