Big East earns three spots in Top 10 of AP Top 25 Poll

The fourth edition of the was released on Monday. Once again, the No. 1 Kentucky Wildcats (40 first-place votes) held the top spot. They were followed by the . The defending NCAA Champions earned 20 first-place votes this week. 

Currently, the Top 25 has three Big East teams in the Top 10. The No. 7 Xavier Musketeers moved up two spots. Meanwhile, the No. 10 Creighton Blue Jays rose a couple of spots this week. All three teams have a (6-0) record, but they aren't the only Big East teams in the Top 25. The joined the AP Top 25 Poll for the first time this season. They also sport a (6-0) record. Despite knocking of the Arizona Wildcats, the Bulldogs still remained behind one of the PAC-12 powers. The Cardinals dropped eight spots to No. 16. 

The ACC also received three spots in the AP Top 25 Poll. The No. 3 North Carolina Tar Heels lead the way. They are followed by No. 5 Duke and No. 6 Virginia. The Louisville Cardinals dropped four spots to No. 14, while Syracuse dropped four spots to No. 22. They both lost a game over the weekend.
