Best Pro Baseball Team Part 8 : Round B Needed to Determine Group Standings 2nd-7th

The Alpha Round of the EFCDBG Challenge did not determine the order of the 2nd through the 7th Groups, so another round was necessary. Game 1 was played on 7-7-1888 and was between the 9G 1872 Brooklyn Atlantics and the 9C 1875 St. Louis Brown Stockings. There was real world information for this game when on 7-14-1875 in which the Brown Stockings won 2-1 so this was factored into the formula. The Brown Stockings won 8-7 ; Charlie now led Golf 2-1, and Foxtrot and Charlie were tied 2-2.

Game 6 was played on 7-10-1888 and was between the 8C 1876 St. Louis Brown Stockings and the 1876 Louisville Grays. The next game on the list for real world information for this game was played on 7-27-1876 when the Grays won 4-2. This game was tied 10-10 after 9 innings. In the bottom of the 10th, the Grays hit a three run home run to win the game 13-10. Foxtrot now led Charlie 3-2, but trailed Bravo 2-0.

Game 11 was played on 7-12-1888 between the 6C 1871 Washington Olympics and the 6E 1883 Chicago White Stockings. There was real world information for this game when on 5-19-1871 the White Stockings won 9-7. The Olympics overcame the deficit and won 17-15.

Game 16 was played on 7-19-1888 and was between the 4B 1887 St. Louis Browns and the 4E 1872 Boston Red Stockings. There was not any real world information for this game since they played in two different leagues, so only offensive and defensive parameters were used to determine the final score. The Browns won 15-12 so Echo now trailed Bravo 3-2 but leads Foxtrot 46-43. The league was definitely in flux, but they kept going to determine who was the best.
