GK: Bobby Shuttleworth, Minnesota United FC

2x Team of the Week

Bobby Shuttleworth has proven to be a suitable goalkeeper in recent MLS seasons and now he has proven it once again with Minnesota. This week Shuttleworth was able to hold a shutout against Cyle Larin and Orlando City. Shuttleworth was highly active recording seven saves in the process of the shutout. A great week from Shuttleworth lands him as week 13's top keeper.

DEF: Brandon Vincent, Chicago Fire

2x Team of the Week

Vincent makes an appearance for a second straight week on the MLS Aces team of the week. Vincent and the Fire backline was able to only allow one goal to the then top FC Dallas team. Vincent played a great game at leftback defensively and was also a factor on offense. Vincent assisted on one of the Fire's two goals in this game.

DEF: Chad Marshall, Seattle Sounders

1x Team of the Week

Surprisingly, this is Chad Marshall's first appearance on the Team of the Week list in 2017. Marshall and the Sounders were able to shutout Cascadia rivals, Portland Timbers. Marshall played as the brick wall that he usually does. He was also able to assist on the game's lone goal. Marshall played his best game of 2017 and he needs to keep his form for the Sounders to continue their winning ways.

DEF: Kortne Ford, Colorado Rapids

1x Team of the Week

How do the Rapids always get really good young defenders? Kortne Ford impressed once again for the Rapids as he was able to shutout a tough Sporting Kansas City team. Besides shutting out a top two team in the West, Ford was able to score the game's only goal in the 11th minute. So a huge congrats to Kortne on a great defensive effort and his first MLS goal.

DEF: Francisco Calvo, Minnesota United FC

2x Team of the Week

Bobby Shuttleworth wasn't the only Minnesota United FC player to dominate defensively this week. Calvo was a main reason why Orlando City couldn't get anything going in week 13. Calvo is the only defender this week to not have an offense impact but that shouldn't take away from his week. Slowing down the likes of Cyle Larin and Kaka is never easy but Calvo found some way to do it.

MID: Victor Vazquez, Toronto FC

2x Team of the Week

Vazquez has quietly dominated the assist game for TFC this season. But this week without the likes of Altidore and Giovinco, Vazquez stepped up and scored himself a brace. Vazquez stepped up in the midfield and took control of the game as TFC beat the Columbus Crew 5-0. Vazquez earns the honor of the MLS Aces week 13 player of the week.

MID: Miguel Almiron, Atlanta United FC

4x Team of the Week

I feel like each week I am writing about this guy. What else can I say? Almiron can score with ease and also pass better than many others. This week Almiron was able to score a brace as Atlanta beat a tough NYCFC squad. A great week from the young South American puts him on the Team of the Week list for the fourth time this season.

MID: Julian Gressel, Atlanta United FC

1x Team of the Week

Almiron's teammate joins him in the MLS Aces team of the week midfield. Gressel was a main factor on both of Almiron's goals as he assisted on both. Gressel has been very underrated for Atlanta this season as his ability in the midfield has allowed the success of Hector Villalba, Yamil Asad, and Miguel Almiron.

MID: Giovanni Dos Santos, LA Galaxy

2x Team of the Week

I am cheating a bit here by putting Dos Santos in the midfield. He is naturally a forward but can play as a center forward type player sooooo here he is. Dos Santos had a great week for LA as he had himself a brace in the team's 4-2 win over San Jose. Dos Santos was able to seal the game for LA as they beat their California rival.

FOR: Jordan Hamilton, Toronto FC

1x Team of the Week

The young Canadian got a chance with the first team and impressed greatly. Hamilton was able to assist on Jonathan Osorio's 86th minute goal. After assisting on the that goal he scored his own in extra time. The goal and the assist helped lead TFC to the thrashing over fellow Eastern Conference team, Columbus Crew.

FOR: Hector Villalba, Atlanta United FC

2x Team of the Week

The final starter this week is Atlanta United's Hector Villalba. Villalba assisted on the game's first goal in the 16th minute. Three minutes later Villalba was able to score his own goal being assisted by Yamil Asad. Villalba has stepped up in the absence of Josef Martinez and will continue to dominate as the season progresses.
