GK: Steve Clark CRW

1x Team of the Week

Steve Clark had his best game of the season. Clark held a shutout to what was a hot New England Revolution team. The Revs really didn`t test Clark much but when he was tested he came up huge and saved the Crew three points. Clark finished the game with five saves in the return of Kei Kamara to Columbus.

DEF: Chris Duvall NYRB

1x Team of the Week

Chris Duvall is impressive to me as a young fullback in MLS. The Red Bulls seem to always develop young a long lasting MLS defenders. This week Duvall was part of the Red Bull back line that held a shutout over the lacking Montreal Impact. The Red Bulls won 1-0 and Duvall added an assist on the only goal scored in the game.

DEF: Taylor Kemp DCU

1x Team of the Week

Taylor Kemp might have had the best single game performance by any defender this year. Kemp was a huge factor in United`s 4-1 win over Orlando City. Kemp was a factor on three of the goals by adding three assists to Patrick Mullins, Lloyd Sam, and Julian Buescher. Kemp was having a great day and he is awarded my player of the week.

DEF: Justin Morrow TFC

5x Team of the Week

Justin Morrow has the most goals scored by any defender this year. Morrow is a defender that has the talent and ability to shutdown a defender and push up the field and act as a scoring midfielder. This week Morrow was on the TFC that only allowed one goal to Philly which really wasn`t their fault. Morrow added a goal for himself and they tied 1-1.

DEF: Harrison Afful CRW

3x Team of the Week

Harrison Afful has had a very good season for the Crew all season long. In a huge turnaround from last season Afful has been a consistently reliable starter for the Columbus backline. Afful had another great game against the Revs slowing down Kei Kamara and Lee Nguyen and holding the shutout.

MID: Alejandro Bedoya PHI

1x Team of the Week

This week Bedoya took control of the Union offense and scored the only goal for them against TFC. This game finished 1-1 and without Bedoya there would have been nothing going on for the Union attack. Bedoya scored his first MLS goal with a beautiful chip over the Orlando City keeper. Union fans are probably hoping that this gives him confidence to add to the Philly attack.

MID: Dax McCarty NYRB

3x Tea, of the Week

The New York Red Bull captain is so underappreciated around the league. Dax adds a presence to the midfield that is without a doubt a factor to the Red Bull`s dominance this week over Montreal. Dax is a constant threat defensively and can slow down the attack of even the best forwards. This week he also made great strides in holding the possession with solid passing in the midfield.

MID: Patrick Nyarko DCU

3x Team of the Week

It was a rough week for midfielders this week and it was difficult to make my usual "easy picks", but this week Nyarko was one of my easy picks. Nyarko was the best midfielder for D.C. United in their complete dominance over Orlando City. Nyarko had two assists on the day, the assists were on both goals scored by Patrick Mullins. D.C. United lacks the big name player on their roster and Nyarko takes full advantage of it.

MID: Shkelzen Gashi COL

2x Team of the Week

Gashi had a very Giovinco-esc free kick this week putting one beautifully past the keeper. Gashi added another goal in this game that lead to him scoring two of the Rapids three goals. Colorado`s defense blew it and they finished the game tied at three. Gashi was a great signing for the Rapids in my opinion because when he is hot he gives them a real offensive threat.

FOR: Jordan Morris SEA

5x Team of the Week

Morris scored goals number 11 and 12 this week in Seattle`s 4-2 win over LA. Morris impressed with his skill, speed, and confidence with the ball at his feet. He finally showed off how well he can finish one on one with a keeper. He is fully deserving of reputation that he earned coming into MLS and his progression from game one to now has been tremendous.

FOR: Mauro Manotas HOU

1x Team of the Week

Manotas is the true striker that Houston deserves. Manotas and the Dynamo are a tough out this year and upset the reigning champions Portland Timber this week. Manotas scored a hat trick and completely overwhelmed the Timber defense, seemingly single handedly. Great game from the young striker and gives hope to the Dynamo organization.
