GK: Evan Bush MON

2x Team of the Week

Evan Bush had an amazing two games this week. Montreal was in need of points due to the rise in play from teams such as New England and D.C. United. Bush was a force in net and only allowed one goal in two games to San Jose and Orlando City. Bush recorded 10 saves total in both games and stood strong even though he was heavily tested. An unbelievable week from a goalkeeper that continues to prove me wrong.

DEF: Steve Birnbaum DCU

2x Team of the Week

Steve Birnbaum has been looked at my various teams overseas and for good reason. He is very good at what he does. He is a constant starter for his club team and has made seven caps for his national team. This week Birnbaum started at centerback in two games for D.C. In those two games the defense only allowed one goal. Birnbaum played large and didn`t let many balls get around him. He is one of the better talents we have in MLS.

DEF: Chad Marshall SEA

6x Team of the Week

Chad Marshall is a very good veteran defender. The Sounders had two games this week and defensively he played great. Marshall and the rest of the Seattle back line only allowed one goal, which was a penalty kick from Pedro Morales. Marshall also added some offense once again. He headed home a Lodiero corner kick which gave them the win for their first game of the week. Marshall has had a great year and he will need to continue for the Sounders to remain in playoff contention.

DEF: Harrison Afful CRW

4x Team of the Week

Harrison Afful is one of the more unnoticed talents we have in MLS. He is the best defender you will ever watch but he does get his job done. He is also very impactful on the offensive side of things as well. Afful this week scored a goal in the Crew`s 3-0 win over the Fire. He has been one of the key players in the Crew`s late turnaround of the season.

DEF: Walker Zimmerman FCD

4x Team of the Week

Walker Zimmerman is one of my favorite defenders in MLS. Zimmerman had a great week on the Dallas backline allowing zero goals against a tough LA Galaxy side. He also scored the game winner that allowed FC Dallas to get closer to the Supporter Shield. Zimmerman proves to be a solid anchor every week and someone that Dallas can rely on.

MID: Dax McCarty NYRB

4x Team of the Week

The captain is back and he is playing extremely well right before the start of the playoffs. This week Dax has one my player of the week award due to his stellar play. McCarty scored once and assisted on two goals to Sacha Kljestan and Bradley Wright-Phillips. The captain is here and he is leading the Red Bulls to a top spot in the east.

MID: Lamar Neagle DCU

3x Team of the Week

Lamar Neagle was a guy that I had hopes for going into the season, it hasn`t been up to my expectations but it's still been very good. This week Neagle continued his very good season by scoring three goals and one assist in two games. Neagle lead the way for D.C. United to make it up to a playoff spot over the Union. Lamar Neagle is able to play multiple spots on the pitch and is capable to make major impacts like he had done this week.

MID: Justin Meram CRW

5x Team of the Week

The Columbus Crew season has been turned around towards the end and the play of Justin Meram has changed some things. Meram is a speedy midfielder that can get his teammates involved. This week Meram scored a goal in the 50th minute against the Fire. He later assisted on a Dilly Duka goal to make the game 3-0.

MID: Sacha Kljestan NYRB

7x Team of the Week

My final midfielder this week is the MLS assist leader Sacha Kljestan. Kljestan continued his great midfield play by adding another goal and another assist on the season. Kljestan has shown to be an amazing play maker for the Red Bulls all season long and once again he passed his way to a Red Bull victory.

FOR: Juan Agudelo NE

2x Team of the Week

The Revs have been one of the hottest teams in MLS as of late and Juan Agudelo had a great week. Agudelo scored once against Sporting KC and assisted on an early Kei Kamara goal. The Revs forwards had a great game and it was tough to choose between Agudelo and Kamara for my starting striker. In the end I went with Agudelo.

FOR: David Villa NYC

9x Team of the Week

David Villa scored a brace this week against the Dynamo to secure three points in an important late season game. Villa is now tied for the league lead in goals scored and he is going to need to keep this pace up to lead NYCFC into a one or two playoff seed. In the absence of Frank Lampard, Villa has stepped up his scoring in a great pace.
