You might recall the letter read in open court after the verdict and sentencing of former Stanford Swimmer Brock Turner from an incident after a campus party in 2015. First, let's go back to the beginning of the trial...

So, Turner is found guilty of sexually assaulting the woman and prosecutors were asking for six years. The judge in the case, Santa Clara County Superior Court Judge Aaron Persky, said in handing down his punishment that a longer sentence would have a “severe impact” on Turner. What was the sentence Persky imposed for three counts of sexual assault on an UNCONSCIOUS AND HALF-NAKED WOMAN...?

Six months in county jail and three years’ probation...

That's not a misprint...

Here's the problem... Brock Turner still denies he did anything wrong and his father, Dan, decided to go after an unjust verdict in a public letter to the judge that comes across as nothing more than tone-deaf and ignorant...

father: son not "violent" only got "20 mins of action" shouldn't have to go to prison.

"20 minutes of action..." and Dan Turner thinks the weak sentence needs to be weaker...

There are things that are weak about this whole tale- and it starts with the Turners...
