Game of the Night: The Atlanta Hawks Just Keep Winning
We've said it before and we'll say it again: This season you cannot stop the Atlanta Hawks, you can only hope to contain them.
In what arguably may have been the game of the year and certainly the best game of the night, the Hawks behind seven guys scoring in double figures downed the NBA West leading Golden State Warriors 124-116.
And no, unless you lived in Georgia or the San Francisco area, you probably did not get to see it. Since the game did not feature on "Marquee" star, it was relegated to regional TV.
Both teams just kept attacking each other the entire night. But the Hawks couldn't miss. The team shot 49 percent for the game, an astounding 55 percent from beyond the 3 point line. Jeff Teague led them with 23 points and 7 assists. Paul Millsap added 21, Kyle Korver and Mike Scott had 17 apiece combining to go 8 for 12 from beyond the arc.
The win moves Atlanta to 42-9 on the season.
As for the Warriors who got 55 combined points from Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, they dropped to 39-9, but still lead the NBA West
