It's Getting Worse For The Villains, If That's Possible...

((HT: BBC Sport/The FA/FS1))

They're seven points adrift in the Premier League table and 11 points from safety in general.

There aren't any Premier League games this weekend, but there are games in the FA Cup- the British version of an all-in tournament where the little guy can take a scalp or two and make a huge payday while, usually, the Prem sides win out and add another piece of hardware to their shelves by the time it's done and dusted.

Friday, as an example, Exeter City went after a weakened Liverpool side and drew them at 2. The home side will travel to Anfield for a replay and grab a huge six-figure payday in a few weeks.

Over the weekend, Villa had to travel to Wycombe Wanderers- who play in League Two (think "single-a" level in baseball parlance)- and it was a long afternoon as the teams drew at one.

Aston Villa are now winless in their last 16 matches and goal-scorer Micah Richards went face-to-face with supporters that made the long trip to see the display after the match.

There's talk that caretaker manager Remi Garde has ALREADY lost the locker room as he is without a win in his ten matches since replacing Tim Sherwood. The largest stat around: Villa haven't won a match in 109 days...

That's a long time...
