Out, Done, and Gone...

Didn't take a whole lot of time for this one...

After Everton seemed to check out yesterday in a completely uninspired 3-0 defeat to Sunderland that kept the Black Cats up in the Premier League for another year, the folks at Everton have sacked their manager with "immediate effect."

Which means: "Don't let the door hit you on the way out..."

Here was Martinez yesterday after the loss- looking at "luck" as the problem on the pitch... thanks to Beanyman Sports

Everton, clearly, has underachieved this season under Martinez. It's interesting that a message can be tuned out so quickly since he was only there for three seasons. Martinez succeeded David Moyes and guided the team to a fifth-place finish, but the squad could never duplicate that success in the table or in competitions.

This year, as an example, the team has only five wins at home. The only club with less success...??? Aston Villa...
