They were one the summer of 2014's best stories and it all appears to be for naught.

The Jackie Robinson West team from Chicago's South Side ran the table at the Little League World series last year and in doing that became a national favorite. But they've been dogged since winning that title over questions about some of the players residencies.

Multiple complaints said the team brought in players from Chicago's suburbs and other places, but to this point they were just accusations.

On Tuesday reports surfaced that Little Leauge HQ in Pennsylvania had some new information regarding the residency requirements and U.S Champs were being investigated again.

Wednesday morning ESPN reports the decision has already been made. They've been stripped of the title and the runner up team from Las Vegas will now be declared the champs. They got a statement from Little League saying the team used outdated district maps and "Got together with other teams to build a better squad".
