The FA Cup's Biggest Upsets Day Ever...???
((HT: BBCSport/FA Cup))
The beauty of the FA Cup is that it's one of those "everyone in, everyone can win" tournaments. It doesn't matter what level you play in for the British football ladder, you can have a magical run and hoist a trophy. Cambridge United held Manchester United to a fourth-round draw last night for a huge payday and replay at Old Trafford in a few weeks.
Today, two lower level squads needed no such replay.
Earlier in the week, Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho said losing to League One Bradford City would be a disgrace.
Well, he got his disgrace- after blowing a 2-0 lead in the first half. The Bantams came back to win 4-2 AT STAMFORD BRIDGE!!!
And, then, Manchester City had only gotten back in town a few hours before their home match with Championship side Middlesborough. They spent four days in warm weather training in Dubai (or something like that...) playing friendlies- obviously, it was too short a respite for the transition back to colder weather.
For the record, the HQ would love to know what City keeper Willy Caballero was doing all day...
They weren't the only ones to get knocked out in shockers. Spurs and Swansea are gone as well. Crystal Palace beat Southampton as well...
