The Carolina Panthers have signed former Tennessee Titans safety Michael Griffin. He was cut in training camp by the Minnesota Vikings but played in 141 games in 9 years for the Titans. The Panthers also re-signed defensive tackle Kyle Love and put Ryan Delaire on injured reserve.

Michael Griffin has 25 career interceptions, 569 tackles, 192 assisted tackles and 7 sacks for his NFL career. Griffin at this point in his career is more of a hitter than a ball hawk, and that is what the Panthers need. While Griffin may just be there for depth after Dean Marlowe went on injured reserve he could push Tre Boston for playing time.
