Who Wins the Hawai'i Bowl
?HONOLULU, HAWAI'I - Hawai'i and Middle Tennessee State will meet for the second time overall in the Hawai'i Bowl on Christmas Eve (Saturday, December 24, 2016). Kickoff at Aloha Stadium is set for 7 p.m. and will be broadcast nationally on ESPN.
Here are three reasons why the Blue Raiders will win their first bowl since 2009.
MTSU is 5-3 on the road this year. I'm pretty confident the offense will be clicking on all cylinders whether Quarterback Brent Stockstill plays or not.
The Rainbow Warriors are 3-3 in the Hawai'i Bowl including losses in four of the last six appearances. If the defense shows up, then we should have no problem winning this game by double digits.
Head Coach Nick Rolovich will be making his first bowl appearance compared to Head Coach Rick Stockstill, who will be making his sixth bowl appearance. Even though this will technically be a home game for Hawai'i, I just don't think they will have the answer to stop us from scoring on offense under Offensive Coordinator Tony Franklin.
