The Houston Rockets lived to play another day. They survived Game 4 Memorial Day Monday, but they face a tougher test in Game 5, as they play in the Oracle Arena, where the Golden State Warriors are 45-3 in this campaign. Let’s talk about Game 4 for a moment, James Harden had a big game with 45 points and led the Rockets to a 128-115 victory. However, the big story was MVP Stephen Curry suffering a head contusion after a scary landing in the 2nd quarter. Curry did come back in the game in the second half. Will the Rockets steal a game in Oakland, or will the Warriors advance to the NBA Finals for the first time since 1975 where they await the Cleveland Cavaliers? Here is my preview and predictions for Game 5.

Can The Warriors Close Out The Series? For a team that hasn’t made the NBA Finals in over 40 years, the pressure in this series. In this postseason, the Warriors are not afraid of any team. Look at what they did to the New Orleans Pelicans and the Memphis Grizzlies. The Warriors have to play like the dominating team they are, and they can’t worry about the Curry injury.

Has Houston Already Sealed Their Playoff Fate? According to WhoWins.com, 110 NBA teams have tried to come back from a 3-0 and have failed. Even though Houston had some momentum with their victory Monday night, it didn’t help their odds of winning the series. Houston got lucky with this win because they had a 20-point lead in the first quarter, Curry went down with the head injury, Harden did most of the work and this team nailed 17 shots from downtown. Despite the fact that the Warriors were making a comeback, if they had made a few more three pointers, we would be already previewing the NBA Finals.

Prediction: Even though the Warriors did lose Game 4, they outscored the Rockets 93-83 in the final three quarters. If the Warriors don’t win this game, then this series gets interesting. Harden and the Rockets are not going to give up without a fight. As long as Curry is recovered from his injury scare, the Warriors should be fine and advance to the NBA Finals by the final score of 113-105.
