Mavs look to bounce back against the Jazz
Tonight the Dallas Mavericks will take on the Utah Jazz after a difficult loss Tuesday 114-113 to the Portland Trailblazers. A critical two days blown away and the Mavs still only find themselves 3 games back of the 8 seed in the Western Conference. The Mavs have a tight 3 games ahead with Boston & Utah the head of that schedule but after this stretch of games the Mavericks have a string of 4 games that are very winnable. If Dallas can slide 2 of 3 from this stretch they have a chance to continue growing closer to the 8 seed.
Dallas Mavericks also saw a brilliant performance from Dirk Nowitzki one of his classic vintage games that saw two masterful 3's down the stretch. If Dirk is back on his game this team can only get more dangerous down the stretch. Believe me if he is even half what he was in 2011 this season could take a turn for the better in the right direction quickly. Tonight the Dallas Mavericks and Utah Jazz will begin their final tilt between the two teams at 7:30pm CT on Fox Sports Southwest. Key players to watch tonight are Harrison Barnes who is averaging 20.2 PPG and 5.4 RPG. Also watch for Gordon Hayward who is averaging 22.1 PPG and 5.8 RPG.
